The rest of the trip

After diggerland we had a busy trip back to Boston. We spent some time in Philadelphia where we got to see Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. Jace thought that the big bell was pretty cool but was disappointed that he couldn't ring it. There was a rally going on Independence Green to raise money for blind people, so there were many people out with canes and dogs. It made it a little complicated to navigate the narrow sidewalks with a stroller and a rambunctious two year old. We also went to Chucky Cheese's for dinner one of the nights. Probably the best game was one where you throw colorful balls at Robots. We thought ski ball or the alligator game were cool too but I guess you just can't beat bright colors. We got a kazu with the tickets and soon discovered that 3/4 of us could play it. I will leave it to you to guess who the 1 was who couldn't.
We went back home via New York where we got to see Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty from the ferry and the 9/11 memorial up close. We also got to have authentic New York pizza and it was phenomenal.

The day was cold and rainy and we were a little under dressed. It turns out buying an extra large rain jacket won me a little friend.
