England: The Duke of Wellington

The Duke of Wellington has long been an important figure in my life. Not because he was a hero of the Napoleonic Wars. Not because he is the titular character for the dubious Beef Wellington. Not because of his waterproof boots. Rather he is so important because without his fictional existence, I doubt that my room would ever have gotten clean growing up. So thank you fictional Wellington for teaching me how to combat entropy. Thank you for endorsing the Imperial March of a fully other empire as your theme music. Thank you for the lessons in job chart subterfuge, in mopping, in sneaking, in polishing. Thank you for holdings at bay the encroaching tide of disarray and disorder with your shield (which was probably about as useful in the Napoleonic Wars as it was in cleaning). May your oddly placed and peculiar memorial be ever dust free.
