England is home to Harry Potter. We were unable to locate a tube station to visit Hogwarts itself so we settled for the most notable of the Muggle landmarks from the wizarding books: Platform 9 3/4 in King's cross station. We were rather surprised to discover that King's Cross station is not King's Cross but actually the station next door. The one next door looks more wizardy but the actually King's Cross is more up to date which the Muggles likely appreciate. 
Fortunately, despite being in the wrong train station, we successfully located platform 9 3/4. Once again, this was not actually situated between platforms 9 and 10 but rather off on one side of the station by a gift shop. Once again this looked more wizardy with the luggage rack and owl and was likely appreciated by the Muggles who actually use this station for transit. 
Laura and I both took advantage of the opportunity to take a brief peek inside the magical world. 
Laura was so excited she jumped with joy.
And I couldn't resist the enchanting pull...
Sadly, we had obligations elsewhere so couldn't stay with Harry in the wizard world. Plus, who would actually want to hang out with all those crazy teenagers? Fortunately, we found another magical friend who was much cuddlier and far more portable.
